IMF hit by ‘very major’ cyber security attack

Once again, a spear phishing attack appears to have given hackers access to another organization’s network. Phishing – a process where an email is sent to you and asks you to login or provide login information, in this case, for your email account gives the intruder the ability to login to your network as you. Once they have access to your account, they may start installing software or as part of the process give you a link to install software allowing them to take remote control of your system. Many of our clients have started receiving administrator type email to once again ask for and trick users into providing your login name and password. Please be extra careful and ask before providing any information.
